The Baltimore Black Sox was a professional Negro League baseball team that played between 1913 and 1936. Originally starting as an independent team in 1913, they were then one of the original six teams to make up the Eastern Colored League in 1923 before eventually joining the American Negro League in 1929 and the Negro National League from 1933-1934. In 1929, the Black Sox boasted the "Million Dollar Infield", which was based on the prospective worth of the four infielders had they been white.
